Sunshine Greenhouse Accessories
We are often asked what accessories a new greenhouse gardener should start with. There are certain accessories that can be crucial to a successful greenhouse operation. They are:

• Shade Cloth (protect your plants from too much sun & heat)

• Clip-On or Vornado Circulation Fan (provide adequate air circulation)

• Min/Max Thermometer (know how hot and cold your greenhouse environment is)

• Anchor Kit (anchor your greenhouse for high winds)

• Gardener's Companion Book (a great reference book - the "bible" for greenhouse gardeners)

• Benches (to place your plants on, work space, etc.)

Benches, Doors, and Extension Kits

Specially designed matching redwood benches, an optional wheelchair accessible door, or optional extension kits should you grow out of your space.

Cooling, Ventilating, and Humidifying

An effective greenhouse cooling system includes shade cloth, an appropriately sized ventilation system and sufficient humidity. Misting systems are ideal supplements to your ventilation or to automate the watering process.

Heating, Lighting, and Propagation

The heating requirements of your Gardenhouse depend on the target temperature. Many plants need 10-12 hours of light our lighting and propagation systems are perfect for proting flowering/biddgin in plants or starting seedlings.

Anchor Kits

Sunshine GardenHouses are heavier than most greenhouses, but we still recommend an anchor system for use where a GardenHouse is exposed to winds or storm activity.

For installations on soil foundations, we offer the inexpensive, easy to install and very sturdy Sunshine Anchoring System. This system includes four 1/2 inch diameter x 16 inch rebar ribbed steel stakes and two cold galvanized anchor base plates—you just hammer the anchors into the soil. We suggest using one set (two anchors) for each side of your base for a 6 x 8 size GardenHouse.

Greenhouse Gardener's Companion

An excellent book! Includes an overview of the greenhouse environment and describes how to assess all greenhouse needs. This a must for any greenhouse grower and contains 497 pages of ideas and advice on plant selection, propagation, setting up a greenhouse, and environmentally friendly ideas on how to best meet your greenhouse needs.
